farmer houses in Hungary - village houses in hungary - country houses in
hungary
You can see some reasons for why more and more English and Irish buy a property in
Hungary. Hungary has been considered one of the most favourable target for holiday among
Germans, Swiss, Austrans and Dutch. Many of them have already bought a house here and a
significant number of them have already decided to stay here permanently. From this point
of view the southern and south-eastern part of the country is favoured. More and more
English people have bought a house in the past few years.
What are the reasons?
- The climate in Hungary is especially pleasant for those coming from Middle-or Western
Europe. The average temperature is a bit higher without unbearable heat in the summer.
There are four seasons. You can enjoy the awakening of nature in spring and the colourful
beauty of autumn. The winter is generally mild and short. Hungary lies in the Carpathian
basin and is surrounded by high mountains. This is why Hungary is less wet than other
European countries. However, it is not that dry in the summer so that nature would die.
- Hungarians are very hospitable, open and friendly . Sometimes a bit reserved and rather
calm. Their attitude is typical of Middle European.
- Price of property is still cheaper than the average European .Although they have gone up
slightly lately they are unbelievably cheap. You can have a house built with a thatched
roof for the price you buy the roof in Germany or England.
- The crime rate is lower than in other southern European countries.
- Nature is spectacular in Hungary. It is varied:thick forests, vineyards, fields and
barren land also can be found. You can see pleasant little villages imbedded in the
scenery which rather remind you of the time of Austro-Hungarian Monarchy than the hurrying
21st century.
- Hungary can be approached from most European airports. You can buy air tickets at an
incredibly reasonable price both to and from Hungary. The railway system is well-built. A
single ticket by IC from Budapest to Dombóvár (150km) costs only 12 EUR and takes 105
minutes to get there. The road system is also fully-built. You can reach any point of
Hungary on a solid road. The Telefone system is also fully built. You can find ISDN or
DSL_Internet anywhere in the country.
- Life is not expensive here. Tax on houses is e.g. around Dombóvár 20-40 EUR per year.,
1 KWH electricity 0.11 EUR, 1 m3 water 1.1 EUR, a tooth filling 8 EUR, an average visit to
the hairdresser’s including washing, cutting and drying about 9 EUR,. A good dish in a
restaurant with sideorder, salad and a drink 7 EUR. Your daily ticket to the thermal bath
in Gunaras costs 2.70 EUR, a full massage of your body there costs 6.30 EUR. This way you
can see that your expenses can be cut down. We hope you agree with us.
- The one who loves riding a horse, sailing a boat, hiking, going on a trip by motorbike
or bike can feel delighted because very few limitations can be found around. Most roads,
paths can be used by everyone. So you are free to use almost all of them.
- Last but not at least Hungary is a democratic state of law. It is a member of NATO and
EU. Rules are protected and they are kept. EU citizens have the same rights as Hungarian
citizens e.g. Founding a firm
- As you can see Hungary is really attractive from the point of view of living here.
Everybody who have settled down here must have had their reason but the fact that the
majority of them are still in Hungary proves that they have made a good decision.
